Hello friends— it’s been a while!
For those of you who experienced the last iteration of Sunday Espresso Shot, it’s so good to re-connect. For those of you who are new, welcome! I’m grateful for your interest in my little missive and I hope you’ll find it informative and intriguing.
I’m so excited to be re-launching the Espresso Shot with a new format.
I call it: WOW THANKS YAY. Expect to see that title in your inbox henceforth.
Instead of telling you what WOW THANKS YAY is all about, here is a little taster of what to anticipate with each edition:
Along the lines of my own hiatus, I was surprised and delighted to find that one of my favorite podcasters, Dan Carlin, returned with a thoughtful and poignant podcast after a two year break. Common Sense takes a stab at a thoughtful, articulate exploration of this strange moment we are experiencing. I also just started his book, The End Is Always Near, which is proving to be a fascinating and pertinent read.
I’m thankful to all of you— my extended network and friends— for bearing with me as I underwent a huge amount of change this past year, both personally and professionally. This is a difficult time, but in difficult times the things we care about the most are brought into sharper focus and the nonessential falls away. Here’s a lovely article about friendship and the people who matter the most in the age of quarantine.
It’s no secret that quarantine can be tough. In one completely insane month, Ash saw her house partially destroyed in a tornado, underwent surgery, lost her job, and entered into quarantine with me. I invited her to join my business, ALVO, working on client relationships and marketing. I couldn’t have imagined how much joy this would bring us, which culminated in the co-creation of this fun and heartfelt dramatization of the lighter parts of living/working with your partner in quarantine.
I’d love to hear from you all. Have a wonderful evening and I look forward to discussing WOW THANKS YAY with you!
