For this trip around the Sun I decided not to make any resolutions. Instead, I opted to choose a guiding theme for 2019. I chose Dieter Rams famous design principle, “Less, but better.”
Perhaps the most important aspect of making good work of any kind is editing. There is a time for generating and accumulating, of course, but then we must trim away all of those (often very good) aspects that distract and obscure until only the essence remains.
So with our lives.
They too can be works of art if only we make the choice to shape them with the craft and care of a good designer. As I travel through these next twelve months, I want to identify and release those things that are out of alignment with my purpose so that my essence shines through clearer and brighter.
What areas of your life might be served by a little dose of “Less, but better” this week? And what would you choose as your own personal theme for 2019?
Make this week magnificent!
