LOOK: On Friday, I assembled my most ambitious artwork yet- an enormous 73” x 73” photographic grid piece from my Corpus Urbani series for my friend Mike’s Bucktown abode. This image is very near and dear to my heart. Working on this scale is something I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time, so I’m very grateful that Mike gave me that opportunity. I learned so much from the process and I’m already looking forward to a few more such projects I’ve got in the pipeline. Special thanks to Michael Damico of Damico Frame & Art Gallery for the gorgeous print job.
WATCH: Yesterday and today, I attended an intimate two-day workshop with the legendary acting coach, Marice Tobias. She’s worked with the likes of Marlon Brando and Don LaFontaine, among many other greats, and is a deep, deep well of experience and insight. It was an actor’s feast, to say the least! Marice’s wisdom extends beyond the confines of the voiceover booth, however, and the sort of philosophy and mindset she offers would help anyone succeed in any endeavor as you can see in this interview she did recently for the OTM Podcast with Michael Daingerfield.
LISTEN: As I was hanging up my big, beautiful baby at Mike’s place last night, I was rocking out to this funky little gem of an EP from Roman GianArthur, OK Lady. A standout is the cover of the Radiohead song, No Surprises, featuring Janelle Monáe. Shout out to Bethany Bauman for hipping me to this one. Dig it.
Make this week magnificent!
